Thursday, March 13
Soldiers of the 31st Battalion deployed under the ISAF mission in Afghanistan held an exhibition of their own paintings and hand-made work at Camp Leatherneck. The event was organized at the Sports and Fitness Center at the military base.
Landscapes and compositions of religious and other themes are seen in the pictures. Embroideries and models of churches created with foam plastic, sand, stones and straps were also exhibited.
By the decision of 31st Battalion Commander LTC Giorgi Meshveliani, the paintings will be kept at the Sports and Fitness Center, as well as the new hand–made items.
The soldiers are able to train in the gym, to read military-historical, literate and theological books and to watch documentary, military-historical and patriotic films.
