The World Bank is ready to open a credit line for 50 million USD for covering the rehabilitation of irrigation systems in Georgia. With this credit, the Georgian agricultural sector will manage to irrigate large areas of fertile lands.
This is a priority for the Georgian agricultural sector. Starting from 2013, the Georgian government has started taking care of the irrigation of agricultural lands through rehabilitating and cleaning the irrigation systems throughout the country.
