Customs Union membership to create foreign trade problems for Armenia
Friday, April 4
The First Deputy of the Armenian Presidential Administration Vardan Aramyan said on March 29 that if Armenia changes its customs tariffs immediately, it will lose more than 100 million USD in foreign trade.
Such a situation will encourage imports from other countries within the Customs Union – Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. Therefore, Armenia is negotiating with the members of the Customs Union for creating some extra conditions so that Armenia would not receive losses from joining the organization. (The Messenger)
