Iran to make stronger relations with Georgia

Georgia has assigned Soso Chakhvashvili as its new ambassador to Iran who recently delivered his credentials to the President of Iran Hassan Rouhani.

The Iranian President expressed his country’s wish to further grow relations with Georgia. In particular, Rouhani focused on railway construction connecting Iran with Georgia and further to the Black Sea coast through Azerbaijan.

Iran will also have a link to Russian railways through Azerbaijan.
