Annual Inflation 2.4% in May

Annual inflation was 2.4% in May, down from 3.4% in April, according to the state statistics office, Geostat.
On monthly basis there was 0.3% deflation in May.
Prices on food rose by 2.6% year-on-year and prices on alcoholic beverages and cigarettes increased by 6.4% y/y in May. There was 5.8% y/y increase of prices in healthcare services. Prices on clothing and footwear dipped by 5.1% y/y in May, according to Geostat.
