Iran spring foreign trade rises by 27 percent

Iran's foreign trade amounted to $24.2 billion in the first three months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21 - June 20).
Iran Customs Administration's latest report suggests that the figure shows 27 percent increase compared to the same period of time previous year, Iran's Fars News Agency reported.
Iran's non-oil exports accounted for $11.8 billion of the mentioned amount, which is 20.5 percent more than same period previous year.
The country also imported $12.3 billion worth of goods in spring, which is 35.63 percent more than last year.
According to Iran Customs Administration, the country's total non-oil exports to foreign countries (excluding gas condensates) stood at $31.3 billion in the previous year (which ended on March 20), while the country's total imports amounted to $50.8 billion.
The figures mark annual trade balance of -19.4 billion dollars for Iran.
Iran's annual trade turnover is projected to reach $160 billion by the end of the fifth five-year development plan (March 2016).
