Armenia supports Eurasian Union

79% of the Armenian population supports the entry of the country in the Eurasian Union. Some analysts suggest that Armenian support of the union and skepticism towards the European Union is a result of a lack of information. Officials conduct very aggressive propaganda with regard to the Eurasian union. In addition, many Armenians immigrated to Russia in search of jobs. There is also no language barrier. Russian language is spoken as a second language by a majority of Armenians.

There is one important factor as well and this is the military support of Russia to Armenia, which provides arms and it has commitments to protect Armenia in the case of a military threat.
