Ebola detected in Nigerian tourist at Istanbul airport

Ebola virus has been detected in a foreign tourist at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport, Turkish Hurriyet newspaper has said.
The infected person is a citizen of Nigeria.
Passengers on board the plane that arrived in Istanbul from Nigeria have been placed in quarantine.
The deadly Ebola virus has already killed 1,013 people in the West Africa.
Previously, it was reported that 961 people died of Ebola, while 1,800 people have contracted the virus.
According to the latest reports, the number of people infected with Ebola has increased to 1,848.
Ebola hemorrhagic fever is a deadly disease that can be transmitted through unprotected direct contact with the blood or secretions of an infected person, as well as through contact with objects that the infected person touched.
There is no a special treatment or a vaccine for Ebola. The outbreak began in early 2014 in West Africa. (trend.az)
