ADB to allocate additional $140M for improvement of Georgia’s water supply

The project on improving the water supply system in Georgia’s seven cities, which is being funded by the Asian Development Bank, is continuing in line with the schedule, Georgian Deputy Regional Development and Infrastructure Minister Giorgi Koberidze said Sept. 12.
He made the remarks at a working meeting with the representatives of ADB.
Under an agreement, ADB’s $140 million loan will be allocated this year under the Urban Services Improvement Investment Program - Tranche 4.
The bank plans to allocate a total of $500 million to improve the water supply in seven cities of Georgia.
The ADB representatives praised the Georgian side’s work, conducted in 2013-2014.
