Foreign investments in Azerbaijan's economy grow

Investment by foreign companies and international financial institutions in the economy of Azerbaijan in January-September 2014 increased compared to the same period in 2013 by 4.3%, which constitute AZN 3 517 003.
Oxu.Az reports referring to "Interfax-Azerbaijan" that according to the State Statistics Committee, the companies from the UK during the reporting period were the leaders in investments in Azerbaijan's economy, which amounted to AZN 1 131 872 400 or 32.2% of total investment (up 3.7%).
The investment of companies from Norway amounted to AZN 640 190 200 (an increase by 78.9%).
In addition, in January-September, the investments in the economy of Azerbaijan were made by the companies from Turkey - AZN 309 609 900 (an increase by 66.2%), United States - AZN 294 480 500 (a decline of 16.1%), France - AZN 225 593 000 (an increase by 2.06 times).
Among international organizations during the reporting period the World Bank has invested 102 million 840.8 thousand. Manat (decline of 13.2%), Asian Development Bank - AZN 51 194 700 (an increase by 36.8%).
The rest of the investments were made by the companies from other countries. (News.Az)
