Erosi Kitsmarishvili’s Brother Zurab Kitsmarishvili and their family lawyer are studying the case of Kitsmarishvili’s death on their own. They will present their own conclusion in ten days. The family has questions to the Prosecutor’s Office.
According to Kitsmarishvili, three volumes out of seven of Erosi Kitsmarishvili’s death case have been studied by them and the report about the case will be ready soon.
“Our version is different from the investigation’s version based on various reasons. We will soon sum-up all the facts and publish it, so that the public can see the details of the case,” stated Kitsmarshvil. He still believes that his brother did not commit suicide.
“I don’t believe that the suicide version is true, because while studying the case we found many details which are against this version,” stated Kitsmarishvili.
Kitsmarishvili’s family Barrister Gagi Mosiashvili said that they are studying all the materials that are delivered to them.
The date when the Prosecutor’s Office’s released a conclusion over the case still remains unclear.
Founder of Rustavi 2 and the former ambassador to Russia, Kitsmarishvili was found dead on July 15th. His body was found with a gunshot wound to the head in the garage of his apartment block in Tbilisi. Police officers also found the gun next to the body.
An investigation was launched that deals with suicide. However, friends and family of Kitsmarishvili believe he would not have committed suicide.
Kitsmarishvili was actively involved in business for many years and in politics from 2010. He became especially active on the political scene in 2014 when he started to prepare for the self-government elections, where he ran as a mayoral candidate in Rustavi city, but lost the elections finishing third.
