Azerbaijan decreases car imports from Georgia

According to Official data, Azerbaijan has significantly reduced the number of imported vehicles form Georgia. In fact Georgia has been exporting cars to Azerbaijan form the European and Asian countries and the USA, making it one of the most profitable segments of the market. However, from 2014 the export has slow down, In January-November 2014 Azerbaijan imported 168 000 cars, with the value of 252 Million USD.

This figure is around 32% lees, compared to the figures from the year earlier. Azerbaijani itself imported to Georgia more tan 41 000 cars, with the total of 370 million USD. The reason for the decreased export, is the law introduced in Azerbaijan witch establishes new environmental standards, so called EURO 4.
