Some villages at occupation line provided with gas

Deputy Prime Minister / Minister of Energy of Georgia, Kakha Kaladze, CEO of Georgian Gas Transport Company, Mamuka Kobakhidze and “SOCAR Georgia Gas’s” companies representatives visited completion ceremony of gasification works in village Karapila, which is located near the boundary line of the occupied territories in Kaspi Municipality.
Due to the state gasification project, for the villages located near the boundary line of the occupied territories, ten villages of Kaspi Municipality’s “Vake, Akhalsheni, Goraka, Khviti, Tvaurebi, Karapila, Saribari, Zadiaantkari, Sakorintlo and Pantiani were gasified. 37 km low and middle pressure pipeline has been built and Natural gas meter has been installed in each family with in the full gasification of the village. As a result, 648 families will be able to receive natural gas.
The gasification project for the villages located near the bounding line of the occupied territories across the Georgia started in 2014. 19 million Lari was allocated from the state budget to implement the project. Gasification project is held in 58 villages of municipalities Gori,Kareli,Kaspi,Khashuri and Zugdidi. As a result of the gasification works in 58 villages, 13,000 families will be able to receive natural gas.
In villages in each house gas appliances installation will be free. The gasification works carries the Georgian Gas Transportation Company together with the contractor Companies. (Ministry of Energy)
