Recruits take oath in Algeti

226 military servicemen joined the Georgian Armed Forces. The oath-taking ceremony was held on the training base in Algeti. Chief of General Staff of the Georgian Armed Forces, Colonel Vakhtang Kapanadze congratulated them on enrollment in the Georgian Armed Forces and granted certificates to successful graduates.
Before the ceremony, the Georgian State Anthem was performed and a minute of silence was held to honor the memory of the fallen heroes.
The recruits went through the Basic Combat Training (BCT) Course during nine weeks. The military servicemen were being trained in shooting, drilling and tactical skills, as well as in military topography and in the methods of providing the first medical aid. The trainings were held in the field and in classrooms.
The recruits will continue contract-based military service in different combat units of East Command of the GAF.
