Europe relies on Azerbaijani gas

Oxu.Az reports citing TASS that the statement came from the deputy chairman of the European Commission Maros Sefcovic on Sunday.

Vice-President of the EC considers Azerbaijan as an alternative gas supplier to the EU.
He added that the implementation of the "Southern Gas Corridor" project has already started.
The gas from the Caspian region will be supplied to Europe by this route.
"This is the only project that guarantees us a major new gas supplies from a new source. It is also about major construction projects, the cost of implementation is estimated at EUR 45 bn," Sefcovic said.
