Intelligence Officers’ Training Course

Intelligence officers’ training course launched at Manavi Rangers School. Chief of General Staff of the Georgian Armed Forces, Major General Vakhtang Kapanadze and Commander of Special Operation Forces, LTC Dimitri Kiknadze attended the opening of the course.
Major General Vakhtang Kapanadze met with the participants and wished them luck. At the end of the ceremony, the guests viewed military equipment exhibited in the base.
Intelligence officers’ training course organized by J-2 Intelligence Department of General Staff and Special Operation Forces is held within the program of enhancing intelligence capabilities. The course aims to hold individual and group training for intelligence officers with a common standard.
Officers of intelligence units of infantry brigades of the Georgian Armed Forces, National Guard and separate units participate in the course. Within 18 week-long training military intelligence officers will master in topography, intelligence, special tactics, engineering, self-protection and other issues.
Last year intelligence officers’ course was held in 2 stages. Therefore, 150 certified intelligence officers joined the Georgian Armed Forces. 200 military servicemen’s training and certification courses are planned this year.
