Combined Patrol in Village Sayghani

Georgian military servicemen participating in the “Resolute Support” mission carried out a combined patrol in the province of Parvan, Afghanistan. The military of the 43rd Battalion of IV Mechanized Brigade patrolled in the village Sayghani.
The main mission of the “Alpha” company was to conduct aggressive reconnaissance, restrict indirect fire in the direction of Bagram Air Base and prevent free movement of the rebels. While patrolling, the Georgian soldiers met with the local population and acquired information about their problems in the settlement. U.S. Marines and Afghan National Forces also participated in the patrol.
The 43rd Battalion of IV Mechanized Brigade continues to carry out the “Resolute Support” mission on Bagram Air Base; their main task is to provide security on the base.
