Member of the opposition United National Movement (UNM) Davit Bakradze said that the UNM has elaborated a revolutionary anti-crisis program.
He stresses that despite the fact the government led the country to the ongoing economic troubles, the opposition should not be focused only on its criticism.
“Many people are criticizing the government and their attitude is fair enough. However, apart from the criticism we need to find a way out of the situation. We offer then the outcome. We have a detailed anti-crisis plan, I can honestly say it is revolutionary,” stated Bakradze
He said that the plan consists of positive experience over the previous years.
“We discussed everything, mistakes and success and elaborated the plan. The UNM believes that together we will defeat the crisis and improve economic environment in the country,” stated Bakradze.
Member of the UNM Petre Tsiskarishvili said that the program is not just anti-crisis and it can also be used for providing improvements in some other fields.
“The program mainly consists of lowering the taxes, including the profit tax. As for the social sphere, our plan is that it should be more target-oriented.
We must focus on the social group of people who have the worst financial situations. The current healthcare system fails to provide high quality medical support, while though our plan the system will be refined and of a high-standard, “stated Tsikaridze.
The UNM has already presented the plan for the dip-corps representatives and NGOs.
NGOs attending the meeting stated that the realization of the plan is less likely if the UNM does not regain its power.
On his party, Minister of Economy Giorgi Kvirikashvili has stated that the government is already working on various amendments, liberalization of the income tax among them that will provide positive consequences for the state economy.
The majority representatives are skeptical towards the sincerity of the UNM offer.
