Georgian Military Servicemen Returned from Afghanistan without Casualties

The Reinforced Company of the IV Mechanized Brigade arrived in Georgia from Afghanistan, having suffered no casualties. Georgian military personnel were serving on the Military Base “Marmal” in Mazar-i-Sharif during seven months.
The Georgian Company members were welcomed home by Deputy Defence Ministers Ana Dolidze and Besik Loladze, Deputy Chiefs of General Staff Colonel Omar Begoidze and Colonel Roman Jokhadze.
Military personnel of the Reinforced Company of the IV Mechanized Brigade carried out rapid reaction tasks. This was the first Georgian unit that served under the German Command. Georgian soldiers received positive evaluations for successful operations from the German Command in Afghanistan. The Reinforced Company of the IV Mechanized Brigade was replaced by the Combined Company of the 32nd Battalion of the III Infantry Brigade.
