Humanitarian Operation of Georgian Military in Parwan Province

The military servicemen of the 43rd Battalion of Mechanized Brigade of the Georgian Armed Forces held a humanitarian operation within “Resolute Support” mission in Afghanistan.
The platoon of “Alpha” company handed over the pupils of the village Jarchi school materials and other gifts sent to Afghanistan by the Georgian children of the nursery school “Basti Bubu”. The Georgian platoon also met with the local population and talked about the security environment on the ground.
The humanitarian operation lasted for six hours with the participation of twenty-three Georgian soldiers, five U.S. marines and five items of armored vehicle “Maxpo”. Apache helicopters provided security of the operation from the air.
