Visit of Estonian Delegation to Georgia

The CSM of the Estonian Defence Forces paid three-day long official visit to Georgia. Sergeant Major of the Georgian Armed Forces Besik Khatiashvili hosted his Estonian counterpart, SGM Siim Saliste. The Estonian NCO School Commander, Major Madis Nomme, was also a member of the delegation.
The Estonian delegation visited the Giorgi Antsukhelidze NCO Center in Kojori. The commander of the NCO Center, LTC Lasha Davitadze, briefed the Estonian guests about the sergeants’ professional development program. The Estonian military also viewed the infrastructure of the NCO Centre.
During the second day of the visit, the CSM of Estonian Defence Forces, SGM Siim Saliste held a meeting with First Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Georgian Armed Forces, Brigadier General Vladimer Chachibaia, and Sergeant Major of the GAF Besik Khatiashvili.
At the meeting, the sides discussed future cooperation areas between Georgia and Estonia. “We discussed the system of the sergeant corps in Estonia and Georgia. We exchanged our ideas and opinions in this regard. There are many similarities between the Estonian and Georgian sergeant corps system. Therefore, we have similar challenges and intensive information exchange for the future prospects has great importance,” stated SM Besik Khatiashvili.
Within the scope of the visit to Georgia, the CSM of Estonian Defence Forces visited the National Training Center “Krtsanisi”. SGM Siim Saliste was given a presentation on the mission and goals of the training centre. Later on, the Estonian military official viewed simulation centre and became acquainted with the capabilities of the centre.
