Export of Azerbaijani gas to Turkey exceeds 4B c m in 2015

From January to September, the export of Azerbaijani gas to Turkey amounted to 4.24 billion cubic meters, the article of Azerbaijani Energy Minister Natig Aliyev said, published Oct. 20 in the official press.
During this period, the export of gas to Georgia amounted to 519.7 million cubic meters.
“For the three quarters of 2015, the volume of gas production in Azerbaijan amounted to 21.6 billion cubic meters, 16.4 billion cubic meters of which were extracted from the Shah Deniz field and the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli block. In addition, SOCAR received 2.32 billion cubic meters of gas produced on the Shah Deniz, the article said.
The Minister said that at present, daily volume of gas production in Azerbaijan is 89 million cubic meters.
“For the first nine months of 2015, deliveries of gas to the population of the republic, industry enterprises and for export amounted to 10.4 billion cubic meters, which is 674 million cubic meters (6.9 percent) more than the forecasted volumes,” said Aliyev.
Shah Deniz reserves are estimated at 1.2 trillion cubic meters of gas. The contract to develop the offshore Shah Deniz field was signed on June 4, 1996.
Participants at the development of the Shah Deniz field are SOCAR (the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) with a share of 16.7 percent, BP (28.8 percent), Petronas (15.5 percent), Iran's NICO (10 percent), French Total (10 percent), Russia's Lukoil (10 percent) and Turkish TPAO (9 percent). (Trend.az)
