Friday, November 6
On November 1st, the Raddisson Blu Iveria Hotel, hosted “Project COATS 2015” (Clothing the Others Against the Snow). This was the 6th year that Radisson Blue kindly opened up its doors to 300 orphans and needy children. Their day was filled with clothes shopping, face-painting, blowing up and tossing colorful balloons, and enjoying delicious pizza and cake.
Eight schools in Tbilisi; Guivy Zaldastanishvili American Academy in Tbilisi (GZAAT), New School, QSI, British Georgian School (BGS), British Georgian Academy (BGA), Robert Schuman European School, Ecole Francaise du Caucase and Dautsche Internationale Schule, donated coats, shoes and other clothing items and raised funds to buy more clothes for children aged 6-18 from Tbilisi and outlying regions; Lagodekhi, Signagi, Rustavi, Dzegvi, Nikozi and several others. Approximately 100 volunteer students from the schools welcomed and helped beneficiary children to shop and then took them to special space to watch cartoons and enjoy the treats, kindly provided by the Raddisson Blu.
