NATO estimated Georgia’s 2015 national annual program fulfillment positively

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) held a NATO-Georgia Commission session in Brussels on November 24, wherein Georgia’s 2015 annual national program (ANP) fulfillment was estimated positively.
The session was attended by the Georgian Euro-Integration Minister Davit Bakradze and Deputy Foreign Minister, Davit Dondua.
“We discussed the progress Georgia has achieved. We had success in both the execution of the substantial package as well as implementing new reforms. Every single delegation who has observed the our reformative processes have underlined Georgia’s progress over the last year,” stated Bakraze.
The regional security situation as well as the situations in Georgia’s occupied regions was discussed during the session. The permanent representatives have confirmed NATO’s support of Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty as well as its Euro-Atlantic aspirations. They also thanked Georgia for taking part in the ISAF and Resolute Support missions in Afghanistan.
Bakradze met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg before the commission session.
According to the State Minister’s Office, the two sides discussed the NATO integration process and regional security issues.
“In particular, the discussion focused on the NATO ministerial and preparations for the Warsaw Summit in December 2016. We are waiting for those events, as they are two of the most significant dates for Georgia's entry prospects. That is why it is extremely important that NATO now has all the detailed information about the work carried out by the government over the last year,” reads the statement.
