PM says Georgia requires systemic education reform

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Kvirikahsvili, has stated that Georgia is in need of systemic changes in the education system, and named three directions which should be urgently addressed in the field.
According to Kvirikashvili the three aspects are the following:
Development of vocational education;
General educational reform, meaning the maximal raising of quality of education at schools, and;
Providing of high-quality high education in Georgia;
The PM stressed that dynamic research should be conducted in the country which would specify which professions were necessary for the state interests.
“Not only in the economic field, but in some other directions as well,” the PM said.
On this note, the state’s top official said that budgetary resources should be effectively invested in education and the state should do its utmost to prevent unemployment.
