Georgian wine on show at ProWein 2016, Germany
Thursday, March 17
Fifteen Georgian wine companies are showcasing their goods at one of the world’s leading trade fairs for the wine and spirit industry, the ProWein Dusseldorf exhibition in Germany.
Over the three day exhibition the Georgian products will be sampled at tasting sessions and discussed at seminars, which this year attracted about 6,000 exhibitors from 57 countries.
This is the 16th time Georgian wine producers have participated in the annual event. The 2016 event started on March 13 and will end on March 17.
The ProWein exhibition is regarded as one of the most prestigious events in the wine industry where wine companies can establish business relationships with international partners, find new importers and future partners, and learn more about modern technologies and services in the industry.
Georgian company representatives met with importers and distribution companies from Europe, Canada, the United States and more, according to the Georgian National Wine Agency.
Georgian was represented at the fair by Tbilvino, Chateau Mukhrani, Tamara, Kakhetian Traditional Winemaking, Koncho and Company, Corporation Georgian Wine, Bagrationi 1882, Vaziani Company, Wine Man, Winery Khareba, Corporation Kindzmarauli, Telavi Wine Cellar, Kakhuri, Besini and Teliani Valley.
Georgia first featured at the ProWein Dusseldorf exhibition in 2000 by only five wine companies. (Agenda.ge)
