BP expects stable oil production in Azerbaijani block of fields "Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli" in 2016.
According to Oxu.Az, the statement came from the Regional BP President for Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey, Gordon Birrell, in an interview with Reuters.
According to him, the company also plans to stop two platforms for preventive maintenance this year.
"Thanks to effective operational programmes, we expect that production at ACG will be stable compared with previous years. I am confident that the field will remain competitive for many years. We also plan to stop two platforms for preventive maintenance. The exact time will be announced later," Birrell said.
According to him, BP in Azerbaijan has adapted to low oil prices.
"I think we are in good shape and have successfully adapted to the current difficult conditions. We have identified the specific actions and plans to improve the efficiency of operations and management ofINVESTMENTS in major projects. We believe that the current situation will continue throughout the year," Birrell noted. (News.Az)
