We have positive expectations with regard to the GEL exchange rate - Economy Minister

“We have positive expectations with regards to the GEL's exchange rate,” Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Dimitri Kumsishvili, said today.

The Deputy Prime Minister expects the exchange rate to further strengthen in the summer and then in the autumn.

"We have positive expectations. At the moment, the National Bank is very cautious about the exchange rate, in order to avoid unnecessary fluctuations at the market. The GEL will be further strengthened during the summer and autumn months,” said Kumsishvili. (IPN)
