Tuesday, November 15
In 2017, the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia plans to collect 30.6 bln (approx. $64 mln) excise tax from local and imported cigarettes, as per the draft 2017 State Budget, hearings on which continued in the parliament on Monday.
The income from cigarettes will amount to nearly 48.2 percent from all the excise returns (63.6 bln or approx. $134 mln). The excise from petrol and diesel fuel import must make up 3.5 and 2.0 bln AMD respectively, that amount being 27.5 bln for the rest of excisable goods (alcohol, as well as compressed natural gas and fuel lubricants).
