Tuesday, November 22
Thirteen Georgian wine companies have participated at the International Wine Trade Fair ENOEXPO held in Krakow, one of the most culturally and politically significant cities in Poland.
Those wine companies willing to distribute their products in Poland were invited to participate at the ENOEXPO this month.
Within the wine fair Georgian wine companies were awarded with bronze and silver medals, said the Georgian National Wine Agency.
The winner companies were:
Gotsa Wines - one bronze medal
Telavi Wine Cellar – three silver medals
The second day was focused on natural wines, that are produced only from grapes without any other supplies and technological innovations. Representatives from Georgian wine companies met winemakers from different countries and hosted them with glass of Georgian wine to taste its rich aroma.
Promoting Georgian wine in Poland was important, said the Georgian National Wine Agency, adding Poland was one of the strategic markets Georgia was targeting in terms of wine exports.
In the past 10 months Georgia exported over 1.81 million bottles of wine to Poland – 44 percent more compared to the same period of 2015.
