Global Forest Watch says 366 fire alerts observed in Georgia in one week

The Global Forest Watch (GFW) reports that in the period of August 16-23, 366 fire alerts have been observed in Georgia.
The GFW says that fire alerts from Georgian regions were as follows:

Mtskheta-Mtianeti 6
Imereti 5
Abkhazia 2
The greatest number of fire alerts by city is as follows:

In 2017, a total of 692 fire alerts have been observed by the GFW in Georgia. Last year, there were 616 alerts and 822 in 2015.
In the reported period, there were 40 alerts from Armenia, 281 from Azerbaijan, 1724 from Turkey and 59,663 from Russia.
The GFW is an open-source web application, which monitors global forests in near real-time. It is an initiative of the World Resources Institute (WRI) and includes partners such as Google, USAID, the University of Maryland (UMD), Esri, other academic, non-profit, public, and private organizations.
The GFW was founded in 1997 as an initiative to establish a global forest monitoring network, convened by the World Resources Institute and its partners.
