Georgia’s Clinic Immunology Centre reported that 270 new cases of HIV/AIDS were recorded in Georgia this year, 30 cases more compared to the same period in 2017.

Due to the “alarming statistics” the center held International AIDS Candlelight Memorial yesterday.
The president offers condolences to families of Texas shooting victims
The President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili offered his condolences to the US government and the families of Texas shooting victims, claiming 10 lives.
"We offer our condolences to everyone who were killed at Santa Fe High School in Texas. We express our support and solidarity to the US government and the American people”, Margvelashvili posted on twitter.
Ten people were killed and 10 others were wounded in a shooting at Santa Fe High School on May 18.
Authorities quickly named 17-year-old student Dimitrios Pagourtzis as their suspect. Later that day he was charged with capital murder - for which he did not enter a plea - and was denied a bond. He was held in solitary confinement, the Independent reported.
The shooting was the fourth deadliest shooting at a US school in modern history, and the deadliest since the student opened fire in February at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, killing 17 people.
