International Festival "Night Serenades"

World-famous Georgian violinist, Liana Isakadze will lead the 10th International Classical Music Festival - ‘Night Serenades’ in August (26, 28, 29) at Sheraton Batumi. The festival will move to Tbilisi on September 2 and 4 at Tbilisi State Conservatoire.
Around 500 spectators will be able to attend the festival in Batumi.
The informational press conference took place at Tbilisi State Conservatoire on July 3.
In 2018, members of the Festival Orchestra will be chosen from the Georgian musicians abroad, entitled - "Virtuosos of Georgia”.
Music from famous composers will be performed by Alexander Korsantia (USA), who is a Georgian international award-winning pianist, Vakhtang Machavariani (Georgia/Belgium)– Georgian composer and conductor, Gia Iashvili – violinist (Georgia/Austria), etc.
Korsantia immigrated to Canada in 1992, settling in Vancouver, British Columbia. After living in Vancouver for a number of years, he currently resides in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1999, Korsantia was decorated with the National Honor Medal from the Georgian Government.
Throughout his career, Vakhtang Machavariani conducted about 80 orchestras, among them the most prominent symphony orchestras of the world.
Apart from Georgians, internationally famous musicians will perform throughout the festival, including Geza Hosszu Legocky, Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi, famous accordion and bandoneon player, etc.
Born in Switzerland as an American citizen into Hungarian-Ukrainian parents, Geza Hosszu Legocky attracted the public already at the age of 6, after entering the Vienna Music Academy as a special gifted violin prodigy. Since May 2011, Geza has been putting a lot of energy in Budapest, to form, in his country of origin, an exceptional orchestra of young prodigy soloists, the "Bohemian Virtuosi".
The International Festival of Classical Music ‘Night Serenades’ was founded in 1982, in Abkhazia. Unfortunately it was ceased because of the war.
The restoration of the festival became possible only after 18 years, in 2009.
The founder and artistic director is Liana Isakadze.
The festival is organized by the company "Art Alliance" and supported by the Ministry of Culture and Sport of Georgia, Batumi and Tbilisi City Halls.
