German Police Detains Georgian Citizen with 45 Passports

The German law enforcers have detained a 51-year-old Georgian citizen who had 45 passports

The Federal Police of Dresden in Germany has detained a 51-year-old Georgian citizen.

The detainee was involved in 12 cases of robbery in 1997-2018.

He was expelled from Germany four times. Afterwards, he requested an asylum, but was rejected. The citizen of Georgia returned to Germany with a different passport later on.

The arrested individual used offensive language during the trial and the judge sent him to pre-trial detention.



Vice Parliament Speaker Announces Date for New Cabinet is Voted

The first Vice Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Tamar Chugoshvili stated on Monday that the new Cabinet of Ministers of Georgia will be presented to the parliament for the following voting on July 11.

Chugoshvili also noted that consultations will be held with the prime minister Mamuka Bakhtadze before that.

The extraordinary session of parliament will take place on July 14.

Bakhtadze has not nominated new faces yet.

Bakhtadze replaced Giorgi Kvirikahsvili as prime minister on June 14, after the resignation of Kvirikashvili.

He then stated that the number of ministries would be decreased from 14 to 11 and only after than a new cabinet will be named and voted in the parliament.
