Batumi Music Fest 2018

The 6th Batumi Music Fest will take place in the seaside city of Georgia – Batumi from September 2 to 12.
The festival will feature internationally renowned artists and young aspiring musical talents.
The author and the Artistic Director of the festival is famous Georgian pianist Elisso Bolkvadze, who owns a title of UNESCO Artist for Peace.
Bolkvadze mentioned that the festival promises an unforgettable experience and unexpected discoveries.
“As a UNESCO Artist for Peace I believe that music has strong ability to direct people towards high values and serve as an important bridge for building peace around the world,” Bolkvadze says.
Over the years, the festival has become the most prestigious and established classical music event in Georgia.
The festival is held under the high patronage of UNESCO and supported by the Ministry of Culture and Education, as well as the Ministry of Culture of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara.
The festival was accepted into the European Festivals Association (EFA) in 2015.
EFA connects about 100 festivals and festival associations in 40 countries.
The event will take place at Batumi Music Center Concert Hall.
Designed by the Georgian architect Lado Khmaladze, the Batumi Art, and Music Center opened with a performance of the musical “Keto and Kote” on August 14, 2011.
