President Appoints New Ambassadors to 4 Countries

The President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili has appointed 4 new Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to 4 countries.
According to the President’s decree, new ambassadors have been appointed to Latvia, Austria, Republic of Turkey and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
President’s Administration reports that Thea Maisuradze has become the ambassador to Latvia, while Giorgi Janjgava will serve as Ambassador to Georgia in Turkey and Zaza Kandelaki will be the Ambassador in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, David Dondua has been appointed as Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of Austria and a Permanent Representative of Georgia to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe and other international organizations located in Vienna.
He had been taking the Deputy Foreign Minister’s post since 2015.
As for Giorgi Janjghava, he held the position of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Georgia until October 1, 2018, and the representative of the OIC in Georgia.
Thea Maisuradze has been working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2009. From April 2016 she had been taking the post of the Director of International Organizations Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
Zaza Kandelaki was the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Hungary until March 1, 2018.
The President of Georgia held a meeting with the ambassadors on October 5 and wished them success in their future work and activities.
