International Festival of Wind Tbilisi presented ‘Mack the Knife and his fellows’

Mack the Knife and his fellows came back to Tbilisi after a successful debut at Tbilisi International Festival 2017.
Georgian-German Music Project returned with the updated program this year.
Famous German band ‘Mockemalor’, Levan Tskhadadze and ‘Georgia Brass’ performed the theatre music of 30’s Berlin on October 6 at Stamba Hotel Tbilisi.
Musicians working in different genres performed in the hotel garden.
After the concert in Tbilisi, Georgian and German musicians plan to travel to Europe in this project.
Each year, the festival hosts international and Georgian instrumentalists for concerts and master classes. The festival has become an integral part of the rich Georgian cultural scene.
Levan Tskhadadze, a founder and artistic director of the Tbilisi Wind Festival is considered as one of the leading young musicians in Georgia. He studied in the E.Mikeladze School of Instrumental Music and V.Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatory. Levan continued his studies in Amsterdam and obtained his master’s degree at the Amsterdam Conservatory.
As Tskhadadze said, the aim of the festival is to encourage interest in Wind instruments and chamber music in the region and to improve to the Georgian school of wind playing, which is a fundamental part of the orchestra.
The festival was supported and sponsored by TBC Bank, M group Tbilisi City Hall and the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia.
