Remembering John McCain

The event, dedicated to the US Senator, John McCain took place on November 21. The event was organized by the American Friendship Club, which aims to strengthen the relations between the United States and Georgia.
The President of the American Friendship Club, Ilia Zukakishvili delivered the welcoming speech.
Christopher A. Davenport, Press and Information Attache at the U.S. Embassy Tbilisi also delivered a speech and presented a short biography of Senator McCain.
Other speakers included Vasil Kacharava, Head of the Institute of American Studies and the professor Gia Nodia.
Senator’s contribution to Georgia was highlighted throughout the event. Short documentary prepared by the American Friendship Club, about John McCain was also presented.
