Eliso Virsaladze Center is organizing a series of concerts – Classical Music in Alternative Environment.
Music Festival starts on December 18 with Tiffany Abban (soprano) and Tbilisi Woman’s Choir with Christmas Musical Program.
The program will include various songs: Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas, O, Divine Redeemer, Spiritual Silent night, Ave Maria, etc.
Tiffany Abban, American soprano, is the winner of Giacommo Puccini and Mario Lanza Competitions. Besides, she won the George London-Leonie Rysanek Award. Tiffany Abban has performed at famous venues in the USA as well as in Italy and Germany.
Tbilisi Women’s Choir has received a number of important awards and titles.
On December 20, Chamber Music concert will take place, featuring Trio Geon Tae-Hyung Kim (Piano),
Jehye Lee (Violin), Samuel Lutzker (Cello).
Trio Geon was created with a vision represented in the trio’s name. The Koreon word Geon has two different meanings - ‘Center of the World’ and ‘Generating Warmth’. Both of these meanings can be connected to a concert performance in which the musicians aspire to make the musical work in the ‘center of the world’ at that moment and convey warmth and energy through music.
Eliso Virsaladze’s center offers two other events. The piano music evening will be held on December 22 at Georgian National Museum.
On December 24, Tbilisi State Chamber Orchestra Georgian Sinfonietta, along with invited musicians: Igor Galinsky, Artem Mogilevtsev, Ivan Philipov (Belarus) and Iury Khvostov (Ukraine) and soloist – Veriko Tchumburidze (violin), will take place at Soviet Occupation Museum Exhibition Hall.
The project is supported by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport.
