More Than 330,000 Visit Europe within Visa Free Deal with EU

339,255 Georgians have carried out 553,748 visits in the EU’s Schengen Zone since the enactment of the Georgia-EU visa-free agreement the last year.
Most of the visits, 153,884 took place to Germany, the Georgian Interior Ministry says, followed by Italy with 80, 520 visits.
Then come:
Greece-60, 807 visits.
Poland-42,054 visits.
Spain-40,914 visits.
France-39,120 visits.
Hungary-24,120 visits.
Cyprus-18,258 visits.
Austria-16,293 visits.
The Ministry says that 411 Georgian citizens were deported from the EU member states between August and November of 2018.
152 were deported from Germany, 74-from Austria and 70 from France.
603 Georgian citizens have been refused entry into the EU Schengen Zone.
158 of the individuals were refused entry to Italy, 69 to Germany and 69 to Cyprus.
Georgian citizens can travel to the EU’s Schengen Zone for a period of 90 days within any 180-day period for purposes other than working. The agreement came into play on March 28, 2017.
