Within the framework of the charity campaign ‘Beyond the Shelter’ Women’s fund in Georgia is continuing to raise funds for the Anti-Violence Network of Georgia’s shelter/crisis center, which provides emergency shelter for the victims of domestic violence.
The main goal of the charity led campaign is to provide financial support for the construction of an eco-friendly greenhouse on the premises of the center. Once constructed, the greenhouse will provide organic produce for the residents of the center and create employment. Working in the greenhouse will also create opportunities for therapeutic treatments.
The amount received from ticket sales will be transferred to the shelter.
‘MA’ screening will take place on January 31.
The film was directed by Celia Rowlson-Hall.
In the contemporary vision of Mother Mary’s pilgrimage, a woman crosses the scorched landscape of the American Southwest. Reinvented and told entirely through movement, the film playfully deconstructs the role of this woman, who encounters a world full of bold characters that are alternately terrifying and sublime.
The virgin mother gives birth to the savior but is also challenged to save herself
The aim of the platform Circe is to develop contemporary experimental dance and performance scene in Georgia, introduce international artists’ creations and offer educational workshops for the local audience.
While establishing cognitive links, Circe aims to support international cultural collaborations.
Circe has collaborated with various organizations and events, including CineDOC-Tbilisi Documentary Film Festival, which is the first international film festival in the South of the Caucasus that focuses on the creative documentary.
The screening of the documentary “Bobbi Jene” took place in partnership with Circe and included introductory discussion on contemporary dance and performance.
