Police detained two youngsters for the attempted burglary in the Bank of Georgia Gldani branch last week.
The third alleged offender is wanted.
Court has already sent the two to pre-trial detention.
The detainees are 20-21-year-old boys with previous criminal records.
One of the detainees was earlier released on parole.
The detainees are charged with burglary, illegal purchase, possession and the use of firearms, illegal deprivation of liberty and attacking policemen.
“The detainees, who were armed, ran into the Bank of Georgia building and demanded money. The bank employees managed to call a guard service. The individuals opened fire on the security police who came to the scene shortly. No one was injured,” the ministry statement reads.
The ministry says that before the attack took place the individuals stole a car with two citizens in it and held them as hostages.
“Later, when the police appeared, the individuals were forced to release the hostages and left the scene with the stolen car,” the statement reads.
“Later police found the car burnt.”
The crime is punishable by seven to 10 years in prison.
It was reported earlier that robbers could not take money. However, as it appeared during the trial on Tuesday, they stole hundreds of euros.
It has not been mentioned whether the money has been seized or not.
The crime rate is increased in Georgia and the opposition accuses the government.
They claim that the attitude to offenses and offenders have become “significantly loyal.”
