Educational Fair – “Choose France”

The exhibition and educational fair “Choose France” took place on April 6 at the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia.
During the event experience of French-Georgian cooperation were shared. Georgian mobility to France: Current programs and new perspectives were also presented.
Prospective university students and current high school students had a chance to meet representatives of top French universities and to discover their study offers and scholarship opportunities.
Institutional meetings and official opening took place on April 5. H.E. Pascal Meunier French Ambassador to Georgia and Natia Zedginidze, Vice-Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia welcomed the guests and delivered speeches.
The Convention between Campus France and the International Education Center for the new program of French-Georgian scholarships was signed.
On April 6, the official opening of the fair along with award ceremony for the new scholarship-holders of the French and Georgian governments took place.
It is worth mentioning that M. Pierre Clouet, Cooperation and Culture Counselor, French Embassy in Georgia, Director of the French Institute of Georgia also attended and participated in the event.
The event featured the introduction of the new French-Georgian University. The French - Georgian University presented joint Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in tourism, agriculture, and computer science to the visitors and future students.
Up to 15 French higher education institutions participated in the educational exhibition, including Université Rennes 1, Université Lumière Lyon 2, Université Paris Saclay, Université de Poitiers, Collège d'Europe, INSA Rennes, Grenoble INP Pagora, Brest Business School, ICD International Business, Alliance Française de Lyon, Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie, etc.
The aim of the exhibition was to popularize fields of studies in France, as well as deepening cooperation between Georgian and French higher education institutions in terms of education and science.
The event was organized by the French Embassy in Georgia, Campus France and French Institute of Georgia.
