Zourabichvili congratulates Azerbaijan on Independence Day
The President of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili, congratulated Azerbaijan on Independence Day.
“May is a very important month for the countries of the Caucasus region. Today, Georgia’s friendly nation - Azerbaijan is celebrating the Day of Independence. We congratulate our brother nation, the people of Azerbaijan, on this remarkable day,” said the spokesperson of the President, Khatia Moistsrapishvili, at a briefing.
Representative of Georgia at the 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest selected
Giorgi Rostiashvili became the winner of the second session of Children’s music contest Ranina. Accordingly, he will represent Georgia at the 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest (JESC).
The Director General of First Channel, Vasil Maghlaperidze, announced that the finalists of the show, Anastasia Garsevanishvili and Ana Berishvili, will accompany the winner to support him at the 2019 JESC.
Summarizing cities. European Squares and Their Histories - exhibition at the Tbilisi History Museum
The exhibition, titled Summarizing cities. European Squares and Their Histories, was opened at the Tbilisi History Museum on May 28.
According to the event description, “taken with a professional drone, the photographs of the exhibition show from the air the squares of a number of historical European cities. Famous squares in well-known capitals, from the geographical edges of Europe. There are numerous studies, documentaries, and exhibitions about individual squares, but there have been few attempts at offering a broad, continental perspective.”
The project is supported by the Georgian National Museum, Embassy of Romania in Georgia, The Order of Architects in Romania - OAR and Romanian Presidency of the Council of The European Union and is implemented in several European cities.
The exhibition will remain open until June 10, 2019.
