Up to 50 workers in Kharagauli on strike

About 50 workers in the village of Dzirula, Kharagauli went on strike, demanding improvement of labor conditions and salaries.

Georgian Railway Workers New Traded Union made a statement on the issue.

According to the Union, Wednesday was the third day of the strike.

“China Road and Bridge Corporation Company [having a branch in Georgia] paid incomplete salaries to workers, which became a major cause of discontent among them and the workers have been striking for three days now. The New Trade Union calls on the Ministry of IDPs from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs to send labor inspectors to Dzirula to monitor conditions and work safety.
