4 shows of “Mademoiselle me..!” - presented by Maka Makharadze Ballet Studio- “Tanz Class of Vera District” and Silk Factory Studio, took place on June 22-23 at Silk Factory Studio.
Performances featured music from baroque to electronic.
The performance was based on the works of Johan Sebastian Bach, Ludwig Van Beethoven, Robert Schumann, and Frederic Chopin, which was performed by the guest musician, David Aladashvili.
The performance included the part of the electronic music work “Bismuth” by Tete Noise with original vocal version.
Costumes were designed by Mariam Pirtskhelani.
Natia Bunturi, a choreographer of the performance, noted that rehearsals and the whole process of preparation were fascinating and fruitful. She also noted that the title of the ballet derived from individuality, showing the personality of every participant, Mademoiselle – as a formal way of approach and me – as an individual in the society.
Muraz Murvanidze, the theatrical scenic painter and stage designer, was thanked for his contribution and help within the frames of the event.
The idea of the creation and organization of the event came from Maka Makharadze, Natia Bunturi, and David Aladashvili.
As Maka Makharadze noted, the result was very innovative due to the participation of the youth in the organization process.
David Aladashvili is a famous young pianist from Georgia, who is well-known in his native country for his musical outreach to young people and his ongoing charitable musical activities. David has participated in many international competitions, given recitals and appeared as a soloist with orchestras across Europe and America. While studying at Juilliard, David studied under Matti Raekallio and Jerome Lowenthal, receiving his Bachelor’s in 2012 and his Master’s in 2014.
Maka Makharadze Ballet Studio was founded in 1997 and serves the popularization of dancing and, in particular, the art of ballet.
