Educational conditions improved in Matsini Kindegarten in Lagodekhi

Educational and Environmental Conditions Improved and Energy Resources Saving Facilitated for Preschoolers and Teachers of the Village Matsimi Kindergarten in Lagodekhi Municpality.
Within the framework of the project “Environment and Security in the South Caucasus in the Sustainable Resource and Water Use Area” in the Lagodekhi Municipality the following items were purchased for the kindergarten of village Matsimi of Lagodekhi municipality: energy efficient ovens; mattresses, blankets, pillows, tables and chairs, prefabricated wooden toys, special baby carpets – for the children; working table and chairs – for the teachers.
The Greens Movement of Georgia implemented the project “Environment and Security in the South Caucasus in the Sustainable Resource and Water Use Area” in the village Matsimi of Lagodekhi Municipality.
The survey was conducted within the framework of the project, working meetings were held, resulting in the detection of the population’s attitude towards natural, especially water resources. A training and educational workshop was also organized for the local population to raise their environmental awareness.
Based on working meetings, training and educational workshop and survey, the local population’s views were identified on household, drinking, agricultural and technical problems and the ways of their solving.
During the dialogue and consultations with the local population based on the aims and objectives of the project the ideas of the specific small pilot project desirable for them were determined, based on which the subject and list of possible pilot projects to be implemented in the village were identified.
After the dialogue with the population, the project was planned and implemented for the purpose of improvement of educational and ecological conditions for preschoolers and teachers of the kindergarten.
Within the scope of the project, the following items were purchased for the village Matsimi Kindergarten in the Lagodekhi Municipality:
- energy efficient ovens;
- mattresses, blankets, pillows, tables and chairs, prefabricated wooden toys, special baby carpets – for the children;
- working table and chairs – for the teachers.
The project “Environment and Security in the South Caucasus in the Sustainable Resource and Water Use Area” in the Lagodekhi Municipality was implemented by the Swiss Research Program “Environment and Security” (Environment and Safety in the South Caucasus in the Sustainable Resources and Water Use Area) in cooperation with Bern (Switzerland) and Tbilisi Ivane Javakhishvili Universities.
