National Library to create library of Georgian gastronomic culture

Georgian Gastronomic Culture Library will be created in the format of the National Vine and Wine Library.
As part of this joint project of the National Library and the Museum of Georgian Gastronomic Culture, both old and modern recipes, as well as customs and traditions, will be explored.
"This is a joint project of the National Library and the Museum of Georgian Gastronomic Culture – in the format of the National Library of Vine and Wine, a Georgian Gastronomic Culture Library will be created - we will explore the recipes and rituals, customs, habits of the past centuries, family-by-family, and offer them all electronically," says Giorgi Kekelidze.
Kekelidze is a Georgian poet, essayist and the founder of the first Georgian digital library lib.ge. Since March 2012 he is General Director of the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia.
The National Parliamentary Library of Georgia is a governmental organization under the Parliament of Georgia. It is the main book depository of Georgia, as well as the most important cultural, educational, scientific, informational, and methodological center.
Georgian cuisine and gastronomy at its compilation of recipes and dishes of ideology are based on the contrast of spicy and hot. There is a difference between the traditional cuisine of Western and Eastern Georgia.
One of the best ways to experience and understand the Georgian traditions of eating, drinking, and enjoying life is Supra, the Georgian table.
Vine and Wine Library opened in Georgia's National Library in Tbilisi in 2014. The Library contains a unique archive of guidebooks about the cultivation of grapes. Meanwhile, here is an electronic encyclopedia about Georgian winemakers, as well as an archive of magazines and newspapers on Georgian wine, are provided at the library.
