PM: The National Bank has all the tools to maintain healthy parameters of national currency
According to the Prime Minister of Georgia, Mamuka Bakhtadze, in the last two days, the GEL has begun to strengthen, and the National Bank has all the tools to maintain its healthy parameters.
As of August 5, the official price of 1 USD according to the National Bank of Georgia is 2.8870, while 1 euro equals GEL 3.2037.
The renovated Gldani Park opens
Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, together with Prime Minister of Georgia, Mamuka Bakhtadze, opened a renovated Gldani Park. The Mayor of Tbilisi addressed the people gathered at the event.
The Mayor of Tbilisi talked about his childhood and noted that his successful career in Football is linked to this part of Tbilisi.
The opening ceremony of the renovated Gldani Park was attended by the Deputy Mayors of Tbilisi, the Chairman of the Tbilisi City Council, the Members of Parliament and the City Council.
Hourly parking starts in central part of Tbilisi
Hourly parking will first start in Abanotubani and central parts of Georgia, and later, it will be launched across Tbilisi.
Streets adjacent to Kote Abkhadzi and Abanotubani will be divided into categories, parking in Category A will cast 1 Gel, in Category B – 2 and in Category C – 3.
For the residents of Kote Abkhazi Street or adjacent streets, as well as persons with disabilities, A-category taxi drivers and owners of electric cars, parking will be free.
Elene Khoshtaria visits detainees related to the June 20-21 protests
Elene Khoshtaria, a member of the opposition party “European Georgia,” arrived at Gldani prison on August 5 to meet with the people detained in connection to the events of June 20-21.
“The health condition of those arrested during June 20-21 events, as well as custody conditions are normal, and family members may not worry in this regard,” said Khoshtaria.
According to her, the detainees have limited communication with their family members, and this problem must be resolved on time.
