Zourabichvili congratulates Georgian military servicemen on Georgian Peacekeeper's Day
President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili congratulated Georgian military servicemen on the Georgian Peacekeeper's Day.
According to the President, she is honored to address the Georgian soldiers, who protect peace in different regions of the world and enhance the security of our country.
“Our partners show great respect, trust and high esteem for your service. On behalf of the whole country, I would like to express my appreciation for the contribution you have made to your homeland. Today I want to remember our heroes who died in international missions and to honor their souls together. Nowadays global threats are growing everywhere and you know that peace, security, stability can not only be maintained within the borders of the country, but you are also standing outside the country and protecting the peace, for which I would like to thank you. Congratulations on this day and wish you a peaceful return to your homeland," President Zurabishvili said.
Georgia marks the Georgian Peacekeeper's Day on August 31.
Chronic disease medications for the residents of the villages along the boundary line to be issued for 1 GEL?
On the decision of Georgia's Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze, chronic disease medications for the residents of the villages along the boundary line will be issued for 1 GEL, and relevant changes to the Program for treatment Medications will come into force in the next few days.
The program's concessions will offer its benefits to every citizen in the villages along the boundary line, regardless of their age, social, and medical status.
The initiative applies to 35 different medications for treating cardiovascular, respiratory, type II diabetes mellitus, thyroid disease, epilepsy, and Parkinson's disease.
The same concessions apply to every Georgian socially vulnerable citizen, also pension-age citizens, people with limited abilities, and war veterans. Under the medication program, more than 90.000 people have enjoyed its benefits.
